Rose Gold wasn’t always they way she’s known now: callous, caustic, and cruel. Before the War and very early on, she was a simple drone, #1408 in a batch of 4000 identical Rose Gold Units, Tactician Combat Class, made purely to think critically, plan ahead, give feedback, calculate risk, and provide ideas during strategy meetings with their assigned Diamond or commanding officer.

Before the fateful night that she overheard Yellow Diamond ordering the termination, smelting, and reforming of her and her fellows, Rose Gold was a model that thought even farther outside the box than her factory specs required–a bright, eager servant seeking approval and a place of her own in the ranks of the Homeworld army.
